Whats everyone's opinion on floor mounted pedals versus normal set ups. I'm thinking about making the switch because I'm going to be rallying the RSTi once its finished and was thinking i could fabricate something similar to this.

oh my! thats is VERY pretty, yes, you should so something like this :D
I've never used floor mounted pedals, wonder if they feel significantly different

I guess they're supposed to give more feed back than normal setups. seems like most racecars use them.

Me gusta! Mechanically it seems sturdier and does look like it gives better 1:1 feedback than the typical commercial grade vehicle. But I am no engineer.

floor mounted pedals let you set the heel of your foot, most top-mounted pedals require some heel sliding. i'd have mounted the fluid reservoirs in a spot easier to access. but i dig the footbox. could use more brake pedal pad, too.

Yeah the box needs to be raised in order for the pedals to work This is just an example i found looking around i would probably go with a slightly different design for the pedals, and keep the reservoirs mounted in the engine bay.

Much prefer floor mounted.

I find that floor mounted has a nice feel, but I have a difficult time heel-toe downshifting.
